CANINE SPORTS MEDICINE SEMINAR RECAP

The Yankee Chapter recently hosted an informative seminar featuring veterinarians from
Portland Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care and
Bath Brunswick Veterinary Associates. The speakers discussed common injuries
and important aspects of caring for our canine athletes.

The seminar covered a wide range of topics including:

In-season and off-season conditioning
Nutrition and diet
Genetics and physical development
Injury prevention
Maintaining overall performance health

It was a great opportunity for handlers and dog owners to gain a better understanding of how to
keep their dogs healthy, strong, and ready to work.
